In this tutorial I will guide how to move text in word 2016. In the word document, you can move the text from one location to another location in the same document or in any another document. We can move text to new location by using the drag and drop technique with the help of mouse.

I. Move text in word 2016 within the same word document.
1. Select the text that you want to move to new location.
2. Take your mouse to the text location that you select and hold the left button of the mouse and keep holding it while moving to new position.
3. Release left button of the mouse. The text will move to new position you select.
II. Move text within different document.
1. Open these word document that you want to move the text. Click the Arrange All button on the View tab on the Ribbon.
After you clicked arrange all button, it will display both the documents as shown below.
2. Select the text that you want to move.
3. Take your mouse to the text location that you select and hold the left button of the mouse and keep holding it while moving to new position.
4. Release left button of the mouse. The text will move to new position you select.
Tips: You can change to new word document by press the Alt + tab keys. It will switch through the different documents and select the desired destination document.
