siemens nx how to export nx file to iges xt parasolid file

Some times, you want yo sale your nx file to customer, but they don’t use Siemens nx software. How do you do? You have to export nx file to another format to input new software. With nx, you can export your file to new format as iges, xt, step, catia, jpeg, pdf,…

You can export copies NX data to the native operating system.

+ Part: Saves selected objects from the work part to a specified new or existing part.

+ Parasolid: Exports soild and sheet bodies to a parasolid text file.

+ User Difined feature: Exports a user defined feature definition part using geometry in the work part.

+ PDF: Exports the currently displayed layout or drawing to a PDF file.

+ CGM: Exports the currently displayed layout or drawing to a CGM file.

+ STL: Exports selected solid and sheet bodies to an STL (Stereo lithography) file.

+ Subdivision geometry: Exports the control cages of selected subdivision bodies to an OBJ (Wavefront) text file.

+ Polygon file: Exports  selected geometry to a PLY (Vericut polygon) file.

+ Author HTML: Exports part file  data to HTML file.

+ JT: Exports the content of the displayed part to a JT file.

+ VRML: Export solid and sheet bodies to a VRML file.

+ PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP: Captures an image of the graphics window and exports it to a PNG file.

+ IGES: Exports a part file or selected geometry to an IEGS file.

+ Step: Exports a part file or selected geometry in to a step203, or step204 file.

+ Autocad DXF/DWG: Exports a part or selected geometry to an autocad DXF or DWG file.

+ 2D exchange: Exports the projected 2D representation of a part or selected geometry to an NX or IDES file.

+ Catia V4: Exports selected solid and sheet bodies to a catia V4 model file.

+ Catia V5: Exports a part file or selected geometry to catia V5.

How to export nx file to a xt, iges file?

I will guide xt file, iges file is same.

+ Select File -> export -> Parasolid. The export parasolid dialog box will appear.

+ Select the objects you want to export.

+ In the version list, select the version of parasolid to which you want to save and click OK button.

+ In the export parasolid dialog, select the location of new file,  enter an output file name, in the files of types, you can select *.X_T or *.xmt_txt

Click OK button to the finish this command.
