I. How to remove gridlines in Word 2016.

Step 1: In the Ribbon, choose Layout and look for Align.
(For Word 2007 to 2013 version choose Page Layout then Align.)

Step 2: Choose Align and you will see a menu appear, scroll down to the bottom and choose View Gridlines.

Step 3: If you want to adjust the gridlines, go to Align again and select Grid Settings.

You can click Set As Default to change the default settings for lines in Word. After the setup is complete, select OK to save the changes.
