Insert online picture, online video in Word document, it sounds very familiar, right. I have had a tutorial on how to insert pictures into Word and you probably already know how. But what if you already have the photos or videos to insert, what if you don’t have it on your computer, or you can’t download them? Luckily, Word has integrated a feature that can help you insert pictures or videos directly from the web into Word.
Note that only version 2013 or later can be used.
I. Insert online picture in Word document.
1: Open the Word file to insert image or video too.
2: Move the cursor to where you want to insert. At the the ribbon choose Insert, in the Illustrations section right under click on Online Pictures.
3: The Insert Pictures dialog box appears, you can load pictures online from your OneDrive account.
Or you can type in the search section of Bing image search. I will search for “number”, Enter and after a while searching you will see the tool returns a lot of images related to the phrase you searched for, all taken from the internet.
After selecting, click Insert.
Note: If your operating system is Window 7, please update Internet Explorer to version 11 to use this feature.
4: Now you can adjust the image you just inserted to, by dragging the 4 corners of the photo to zoom in or out.
Or click at the image, go to Format, there are many editing options to choose from such as styles, borders, effects, … here I have slightly edited the style the effect of my image already.
II. Insert online video in Word document.
Step 1: Similar to the way to insert pictures online, you also place your cursor at the place where you need to insert Video => then click on Tab Insert => and then select Video Online as shown.
Step 2: Next, in the Insert Video dialog box, you can enter the URL of the video in the From a Video Embed code field. Or you can enter keywords to find videos on Youtube, then press Enter.
Here I choose to search for videos on Youtube.
Step 3: Then you click to select the video you need to insert => then click Insert to load the video into Word file.
Step 4: And here are the results after I’m done. Youtube video has been successfully inserted, you can align the position, size, border, effects, … manually.
Finally, you can click the Play button to preview it.
CONCLUSION.
Okay that’s it, in addition to the ability to insert online videos into Word files, you can also create border effects, frame effects for videos on your Word File by clicking Format => and choose one Effects in the Pictures Styles section that Word application has provided for you.
And here, my tutorial on how to insert online images into Word files, insert online videos into Word documents … has also been completed. Hope that little tip that I have shared today will be useful to you.
