How to draw shape in Word Part 2

Today we come up with another part of how to draw shapes in Word. In the previous part we all learned how to create, change, edit a shape. I will give you the article if you haven’t seen yet, in this link below:

So what do we have today in part 2? Today’s work will be learning how to format the drawings, as well as how to write the text and format the text of that drawing.

How to edit shape in word?

I. Change color, border based on the available template.

Step 1: Choose the shape to proceed.
Step 2: In Format, click the drop-down arrow in the Shape Styles section.

A list of shape styles will appear and you just have to choose whatever style you like. After that, the shape will be displayed according to the style you choose.

II. Draw shape in word _  Add color for the shape.

Step 1: Select the shape.
Step 2: In Format, click the drop-down arrow in Shape Fill. Choose the color you want.

III. Color the border of the shape.

Step 1: Select the shape.
Step 2: In Format go to Shape Outline and click at the drop-down arrow. Choose a color from the list and the border’s color will be changed accordingly.

If you want to choose other colors, go to More Outline Colors. If you want to adjust the density of the border choose Weight, Dashes for dashed strokes.

IV. Add effects for the shape.

Step 1: We also select the shape.
Step 2: In Format, click Shape Effect then choose the effect you want from the list: Shadow, 3D,…

V. Add content for the shape.

Step 1: Choose the shape to insert content, right-click then choose Add Text.

VI. Adjust style for text.

Step 1: Select the shape.
Step 2: Go to Format, then Quick Styles. From the list of available styles, choose what suits your need.

VII. Text color, text border and text effects.

Select the text first. Then look at the WordArt section, you can see some tools to help you with color the text, its border and add effects.

VIII. Change the position of the text.

We also have to select the text, then you look to the Text section, still in tab Format. Use Text Direction or Align Text to adjust the position.

CONCLUSION

Okay so that is the second part of the tutorial on how to draw shape in Word. In today’s post I have share with you such ways to edit drawings after created them, such as color the shape, create border, add some styles and effects…With these knowledge feel free to apply to your work, in presentation for better quality.
